Scam calls (with list)
I made the mistake of answering a scam call from "Telus Fibre Support" and now they call 4-5 times a day, always from a different number. I'm listing the ones I still have. 778-906-5483 778-906-5...

4 months agoI can confirm that these numbers do not belong to us.
We do not use local-area numbers to call customers. We always call through one of our 1-866 numbers listed on our website and your call display will show TELUS on the screen.
I get these calls too at least 3-5 times a week and even after I identify myself as a TELUS employee they still attempt their scam.
As Nighthawk mentioned, try out Call Control and it will stop these auto-calls from reaching you

I finally got to speak with someone within Telus.
The call didn't start well. Even though I said my [same sex] husband the agent kept calling him Mrs. In 2025 I thought we were beyond that, so exhausting.
Your colleague [hopefully] took me off all Telus related marketing calls. So now I will know any Telus related marketing phone calls will be a scam, this is the goal I've been trying to reach for about a month.
The agent didn't know the legitimate phone numbers/prefixes that Telus staff call from.
The agent still tried to sell me something when I was talking talking to him which frankly didn't feel good.
Prior to getting the callback I went through the Message Us section on the app. First going through the bot/AI that churns out rubbish, then through to an agent who kept sending me irrelevant copy/paste messages.
While Telus infrastructure is fantastic, we never get unplanned downtime, etc, I have to say the admin side is getting worse and has a huge scope to improve.
