Arming from Keypad
We just had to update from Vivint to Telus. The installation was yesterday and I’m trying to set a rule or an “automation” to arm the house from the door keypad when leaving. The only thing I’ve been able to do is arm the house when the door is locked, whether from the keypad or when we lock the door from the inside. Has anyone been able to just arm from the keypad when leaving?

My Vivint system was just changed to Telus Security two weeks ago and there is no question that the Telus Alarm System is a huge downgrade from Vivint. I am extremely disappointed in the options available for automatic arming... no matter how you set it, you still have to arm the system yourself when you leave the house. Frankly, I'm not one bit happy with this system and the monthly charges for less features. Shame on you, Telus.
Having the same issue, there is no option for “lock from keypad” in the automation. Did you solve this?

Shawn01 Check out this automation guide pdf file to see if it helps. "Lock from keypad" isn't a feature but perhaps one of these options might work:
Geofence-Based Automation: When the last family member leaves, automatically arm the system AND lock the door
Scheduled Automation: Create a rule for typical departure times (e.g., 8:00 AM weekdays) to arm system + lock door
Mobile App Control: Use the ADT mobile app to arm the system, then set a rule to lock the door when armed
Voice Assistant: Set up an Alexa or Google Home routine to arm the system and lock the door with a single command
Since "Front Door unlocked by User Code" will Disarm (and will not Disarm if manually unlocked) then "Lock from User Code/Keypad" should Arm the same way. Those other options are not convenient or secure at all, and this was a feature with Vivint. Please add this as a feature request.
