Telus rewards program

Has Telus returned the points that were lost at the end of 2024.

I ask because tonight the topic of points came up and my friend has 230,000+ points, way more than can be acquired in one year. When questioned he said he knew nothing about points until I brought up the topic.

Has anyone here who said they lost points due to the change receive their points back?

  • Thank you, I know all about that. Over this year from zero points I accumulated some 36,000 points.

    The reason I asked if points were returned is because my friend who knew nothing about the point program has over 200,000 points. That amount does not seem possible in one year.

    So my question remains, did Telus return points taken away at the end of 2024? I thinl a lot of people want to know.

      As stated, this was discussed numerous times, in numerous threads, over the course of months. Nobody had points reissued as that was not part of the policy. Some requested compensation and were dealt with on a per case basis.

       

      As for the amount of points someone says they may have, we can't speak to anything anecdotally.

      There was a point expiry that occurred around the end of last year, with all points accumulated before the end of 2023. This was widely discussed here on the Neighbourhood for months afterwards. As for the point structure itself, there was also a revamp of the Rewards program in the spring, with new rewards and partnerships, and a change in how many points are accrued and the equivalent points needed to redeem rewards.
