Not receiving calls from a particular number
This is my call log with work. They phone me each morning to assign me for the day. However, I haven't received any calls from them since February. They said they've tried phoning me multiple times and I do not pick up but this is the latest from my call history. They aren't blocked, they're added as a contact, and I used to be able to receive calls no problem. What could be causing this? How do I fix it? I cannot get work without picking up these calls so if I cannot resolve this, I'm unsure what my future will look like for employment with them.
As of today, their calls are coming through. Unfortunately they don't believe me that there was something wrong and that I was just not answering my phone. 😞 But it's fixed now so just going to have to do a lot more hours than I intended.
I have no idea what caused it but it seems like it must have been my end since after having a diagnostics done, the issue is resolved, even if they came back fine. 🤷:female_sign:
So if anyone else has this problem, have telus do a test on your line and it may fix it even if it shows no issues.

Hi, what kind of test was done by Telus? We have spent hours and hours trying to resolve for my mom who can't seem to get phone calls from her doctor. This issue only arose after switching to fibre optic network. Very frustrated as they are saying nothing is wrong and they have done everything they can.

Possibly Call Control is enabled on your phone?

I don't have it on. When I did, I had the number whitelisted

That's definitely odd. Have you had the chance to speak with our Tech Support team about this?
I never used call control, Plus if it was on it would prompt the caller to enter a number from their keypad. For me, my landline number was just blocked one day only to my cell number. Calls from our landline would go through on our 3 other cellphones and every other phone.
But, if I press *67 and then my cell number, the call goes through. The phone rings and there is a notification from a private number.
I had this exact problem with my home landline phone number being blocked only on my Samsung phone for nearly 2 years. It was perfectly fine before. Now the phone doesn’t ring and there is no notification that there was an incoming call but will go to voicemail. No blocked numbers on the phone, reset back to factory, changed 2 SIM cards and nothing fixed the issue. I made several calls to Telus technical services and was told that there was no problems that they can see on their end. Then 3 weeks ago I did a test call my cellphone from the home landline and it actually rang and got a notification and has been working fine since. No settings or anything was changed on the phone. Don’t think there is a problem with the phone and is actually an issue with the Telus home or mobility network.

So in other words, I'm kinda screwed out of this job unless I fork out more money for a new number?
