Your television cannot support HDCP (H1001)
I turned on my Sony TV today and I received the following flashing warning: Your television cannot support HDCP video over your high definition connection (H1001) This has happened a couple of time...

Now I'm getting Pause is temporarily unavailable This is beginning to look more and more like a Telus hardware problem.
I'll start a new topic on the forum.

21 days agoHello Rick81, were you able to contact our tech support team regarding these issues ?

I spent over an hour on the phone with Telus support 5 or 6 days ago. They apparently re-sychronized things. Yesterday I had a scheduled callback and reported that all was still working well.
Today, the HDCP (H1001) error has returned!
Sigh!

Does it persist if you power cycle your TV?
You could also try a different HDMI port on your TV.
Are their any software updates for your TV?

Sometimes I need to power cycle several times. Sometimes a reboot of the PVR is required.
I've tried all ports except the eARC which is controlling the soundbar.
TV was updated within the last 7 days.
I haven't tried the HDMI-CEC suggested by Sabre. Worried about remote issue starting up?

Next callback date is ... Saturday the 26th. 4 days away!
And you wonder why I didn't call last night! Sigh!

Last night I needed to calm down before dealing with Telus tech support. I'll give it a try this evening.
Oh yes and now the PVR has decided that I don't really need to record items I have scheduled to record!
Grrrr!

I know you may have already tried this for other issues but does powercycling the box help?

I spent about 90 minutes on hold and in contact with Telus support. I turned everything on and off innumerable times. Telus "synchronized" the various boxes and we have our fingers crossed. The result - they will check back in 5 days to see if the problem has re-occurred!
Previously, when I restarted the PVR boxes and modem the reboot was always temporary.
More to come!
