The LAN1 Bridge Mode on the TELUS Wi-Fi Hub (Arcadyan) allows you to connect another router to the LAN1 port, bypassing the TELUS router's routing and NAT functions for that specific connection. This creates a separate, independent network managed entirely by your own router, while the TELUS router continues to handle other devices on its own network.
This setup can be useful for:
- Using your own router with full control over network settings while still keeping TELUS services running on the main network.
- Creating two isolated networks—one managed by the TELUS router and another by your own router, preventing devices on one from communicating with the other.
- Advanced networking setups like running a custom firewall, VPN, or different subnet configurations.
