Can I add a booster to my existing Wi-Fi booster to get better strength in my garage

Yes, you can extend the mesh from one Boost device to another, as long as they are in range. Each hop cuts the throughput in half (slower if a poor signal), so there is a balance. If there is any way to run ethernet, that would be a better choice.
