Sportsnet 4k
Noticed today (June 5) that the colours on Sportsnet 4k are over saturated. The colours on both the hd channel and the 4k channel are different.

The issues are when Blue Jays games are on. When the 4k channels turn on 4k the colours are very over saturated and when it switches back to hd it seems to be a bit faded...I don't know on whose end the issue lies but I'm definitely not the only one noticing this.

Let's not call them 4K after TELUS finally admitted that the broadcasts are upscaled HD.

Exact same issue on my end. HD Jays games are 'regular' and 4k games are over saturated and very red. This has been for a month or so now, it was a change I noticed .

Yes watching the Bluejays games in 4K are awful. Everyone looks like they have sunburns and the dirt tens to look very orange. The reds are very over saturated. Switching back over to the standard HD channels it does looks a little faded or washed out but atleast it looks alot more normal and they players don't look like lobsters! Hope they fix this soon, not holding my breath though since this thread is over a month old already..

THIS TELUS, it’s bad. Looks like the players’ skin is on fire. I was watching a recent broadcast and as soon as the game ended and switched to the post game analysts there was a noticeable switch in the color saturation to how it should be. Basically makes the 4K broadcast of all Blue Jays games unwatchable

Finally, the biggest scam in Canadian TV is confirmed: 4K broadcasts are upscaled.
Up until the pandemic, they were in full 4K.
Other early adopters know what I'm talking about.
It would be nice to hear an explanation as to why this changed.

This issue manifests differently with each device/TV depending on the individual dynamic range setting, upconversion features, etc. Another common issue is also with the broadcaster and they way they upconvert their HD feed. We notified Rogers' engineering team of this issue a few weeks back and were advised that the issue was resolved.
