2 years agoHey therealjcole we should be doing area-based marketing so it might be an error that your address, or your side of the street is not eligible but across the street is ready to go.

Your "area based marketing" should be aware that the entire side of my city hasn't been plumbed in for fibre. And the reason: They did a cost analysis of the upgrade vs the amount of potential subscribers and decided it wasn't worth it. This is from 3 different Telus techs who were laid off last year and replaced by cheaper contract workers. Hey that's fine. You're welcome to expand your business how you wish, but kicking me in the shins with marketing and offers and then refusing to offer the service is kind of low.
Thankfully, northern lights fibre is expanding into the area and putting HUGE amounts of work to make it's customers happy.

I am getting similar, but direct texts to my phone from Telus advertising the PureFibre X 3.0 (at a great price locked in for 2 years!) But when I check my availability, it says no way... not sure why I would get these texts (3 times now!) from Telus if it's not available to me, considering they know my address...
