Pair Sonys soundbar to slimline 1 remote
I have a Samsung UN58U7000F tv and a Sanyo FWSB415E A sound bar. I have it hooked up from sound bar to tv via optical cable (no hdmi on the sound bar), have the tv sound setting set to optical and everything works great. Can I pair the sound bar to my slimline 1 remote to control the volume?

Great to hear everything is working well with your setup! While your Slimline 1 remote is designed to control both your TELUS digital box and your TV, it doesn't have the capability to directly control external audio devices like your Sanyo sound bar, especially over an optical connection.

If you're looking for more seamless control (like power, volume, and input switching), a universal remote could definitely be a more reliable solution to control both your TELUS box and your soundbar together.
