Need separate isolated network for work purposes

Hello,

I am currently renting a house that includes Telus Internet, I have to setup a separate isolated network to be able to work as they require this.

I have limited access to the modem it is in Garage but can access if absolute needed I do have access to the login page for both Telus devices it is a newer building and has one cat cable running up to the Apt which is in the 10g port going to a managed switch then switch to Telus Router and switch to my Router/Routers

can someone please help me set up this sep network please I realize this is mentioned a lot but not my actual situation.

I need to return to work from home.

The Way I had it at last place was put into bridge mode plugged router into port 1 but it is very hard for me to run another cable besides the one coming into my apt.

  • Yes I know about that and no that would not work. For my job I deal with important data and process payments until I can make this work I am not. the last apt I was at I was able to run cable so I just bridged the hub and ran off port 1 but here it is next to impossible without drilling through a brand new floor in a brand new apt there is however a coaxle coming into my apt somewhere I have not found yet but I have allready spent a lot of money to try and make this work so I do not want to pay for a Moca  they not cheap.
    Thanks for reply btw

Normally this isn't something we support as it's a fairly specific use-case but have you considered dedicating one of the two bands to work and the other for personal use? Ex., 2.4 GHz for personal; 5 GHz for work (or vice versa)?
