Bad install bad second visit bad experience bad service
Had new switch over from Shaw-Roger’s attempt.
I was not able to be home and wife not techy.
the contractor setup Telus fibre device in basement directly beside my electrical panel. Only place he used screws to secure it to plywood. He ran inlet cable under and hanging below my rafters (so no way to finish basement unless I move later) and also over my hot ductwork in two spots with zero insulation under or anything to protect the non shielded cable. Then moved my other 2 wifi devices from upstairs to electrical panel. Asked wife for a power bar cause now no plugs avail. But the incompetent dude just jammed it under the panels wire in a pathetic attempt to secure it? What about electrical interference and fire hazards??? Jammed my one device under wire too. Used zero cable ties and all wires looked like a rats nest for heavens sake. Looked like a child did the work. Now upstairs was supposed to be 1.5 gig service now but the dummy plugged the purple 10gig lead wire into the modems 1gig port? There is even a purple port to match guess he was color blind? But the ports are ALSO LABELLED!!!
I called and complained & even sent pictures. They said it was unacceptable and should have been a professional install & sent a second contractor guy two days later. He came with zero tools or anything and big attitude big time. I have his interaction and ignorance on video too. Again I was not there and he treated the wife poorly and condescending as heck. He told her he thought everything was fine and refused to do anything unless we paid more. Wife got angry ant the resistance to make things right and BE PROFESSIONAL and kicked him out and cancelled service completely. Telus just lost $200 a month AND WE WILL NOT BE SILENT. No one was disciplined OR ANYTHING nothing, likely because these two bad people were contractors I guess and Telus could not care less. We are currently filing a complaint with CCTS now, as they won’t come and take their fire hazards out and I refuse to do it.
