Mobile Hotspot Routers - any feedback on NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro?

That device is not sold by or supported by Telus. Mobile hotspots also have dedicated plans and won't work with regular cell plans. Those plans also have a fraction of the data compared to phone plans. (Mobile internet Plans) Telus does offer a mobile hotspot of their own.
5G mmWave is USA only and in very very few locations. It has a lot of issues. Even though the Netgear is sold 'unlocked', most carriers won't allow it and will only use / authorize they hardware they sell. Hotspots are classed differently than phones so there are more restrictions on third party data only devices.
Have you tried google for reviews on the device? There are also a lot of other mobile hotspots that are cheaper than the Netgear one.
Here's my usage case:
As a 1GB fibre (w. u/l data) TELUS home internet services subscriber ($75/mo [$88.80, gross]) and as a TM subscriber ($72/mo [$80.64, gross] - w. 150GB/mo data [my plan said to support "5G+ Speed (up to 2Gbps)"], currently utilizing a very outdated Samsung GALAXY S7 edge phone [runs Android 8.0.0 & connects via Network mode: LTE/WCDMA/GSM]) .. also gets used as a hotspot while onboard a remotely kept boat. I thought if I was going to replace my phone, perhaps I could finally kill 2 birds (subs) with 1 stone (TM only), alas, upon review, I find that I consume upwards of 500GB of data per mo while streaming at home whereas the mo data consumption on the boat tends to be erratic, mostly nowhere near my mo 150GB limit but occasionally almost getting there seasonally.
For those interested, the MHR h/w idea came from aussie Naomi Brockwell, in her video, 'No SIM? No Problem!' on YT.
