iMessage phone numbers on phone bill
Hello, I was wonder if with iMessage while hooked up to wifi or data if the number or numbers that are being messaged will show up on my phone bill, or if it shows up as data used?
iMessage goes through Apple directly regardless if wifi or cellular. They may show as data used but the phone bill won't specify which app or service is using the data. Just the amount of data used.
- Okay. Thanks. That makes sense. But does the phone number of the phone being IMessaged show up on the bill or is there a way to find it? Or does it only show up on the bill if it goes through as a SMS?
Any blue iMessage message is 100% through Apple. Nothing from those other than data usage over cellular will appear. The green SMS/MMS messages will have the phone number and number of messages only appear on the bill.
