Automatic switching to LTE

5G through Burnaby and East Van can be spotty, especially since your 15 Pro Max isn't auto-switching like it should. To fix this for your commute, go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Voice & Data and select LTE. This will lock your phone to the LTE network, preventing it from constantly dropping your connection while hunting for a weak 5G signal.

Official Support TeamIt can be the device as it depends on Apple's handling of low/weak signal. Sometimes phones will stick to a low signal over bumping down to a slower, stronger signal.

Seemed to! Still a couple of dead areas by Barnet Marine Park in Port Moody/Burnaby, but otherwise LTE seemed to do it. Just a shame it won't automatically switch. Thanks!
