I hooked up a new sim card with a new plan with Telus I did it online I start the phone number it all says success but for some reason my phone number is not working and I'm getting no service at all ...

Make sure the number on the SIM card is properly entered, as if not, it of course won’t be properly registered to your specific SIM.
You can contact Telus on Facebook at www.facebook.com/telus if you can’t borrow a phone.
