Unauthorized “security” clip deletion
my issue ? uuuuh NO.. truth told fact it’s a Telus PROBLEM !!!! however I’m paying for it quite literally and figuratively!
For a time now (2-3months) I’ve been experiencing unauthorized clip deletion
it’s a seriously vexing issue I am beyond livid really effing mad !!!!!!
My security clips - protected or not- keep getting deleted through some unauthorized source. I have to keep phoning support only to get ridiculous… absolutely freaking ridiculous responses suggesting simple minded troubleshooting.. frankly I already know how to do simpleminded troubleshooting. It’s simple minded. And more often than not … When I have asked for a callback most often nobody reaches back to me.
And the unacceptable reality, other than the hideous fact it takes HOURS AND HOURS to get no closer to a resolution…NO ONE, NOT ONE PERSON knows how to resolve the issue .. 😳
Seriously, somebody needs to give me an actual honest answer about why the security video clips are being deleted through an unauthorized source.

P.P.S.
these clips are actually deleted.. as seen when using the online version in the “saved” tab and selecting the options “unprotected” “protected” and “deleted”
You need to bear in mind I am extremely familiar with the system - be it app or online version. Fact is I’d say I’m at par with the Telus employees whom I’ve dealt with. Least so far, no one has brought up anything I’m not familiar with..

Were it so basic!! that your suggested explanation prompted I slap my forehead in manner to say “by George! of course!”
Sadly, this type of obvious oversimplification borders on offensively simpleminded.. this I say to exemplify fact not everyone requires training-wheels.
A most recent summary of events: At the beginning of this months cycle (zero state) I’d no opportunity to until August 2nd or 3rd to view “system saved clips”. Upon checking - more wistful than hopeful - see ALL clips have been deleted!!! Every single clip, DELETED!!!!!!!
What the factual!?! .. Needless to say to convey my state of exasperation to you I’d be besieged by convergence of Bot censorship that would boot my butt from further use of this forum.
To be clear. The only reason I have the equipment is due to a huge, and I do mean HUGE amount, of poop brewing around me. This Poop Storm swirling around me - to which I do not engage, - requires I’m fastidiously attentive to gathering evidence. Albeit it not to the point I stop living a pleasant existence.
So. Moving forward with my experience.. after staring gapped mouth at the screen, in flustered silence realize need to do my best to periodically keep mindful watch. Basically. Keep checking and quickly protecting the clips.
Keeping in mind I have not yet breached the exceeded limit, I attempt to “ride” my timeline hoping to catch and save any and all information. Tho not pleased with the necessity I force my brain into stuffing the nonsense .. diligently push on. Yesterday, knowing I’ve “protected” a vast amount to look over; and wanting to be mindful of time management. . take a moment. Shortly into scrubbing the timeline data my head explodes.
Far from exceeding the cloud storage data limit - practicably all, including protected clips. Assume I’m not abominably ignorant; leave my equipment out on the sidewalk; Willy-nilly give my password out.. Also, assume I’ve taken every single “problem solving” course of action known to the average person - and then some.

Hey darOne - I looked into it and it could be a few things:
The Storage Limit Overwrite Rule
Telus plans enforce hard storage caps on cloud video capacity (typically 1,000 to 3,000 clips total, depending on your tier). FIFO Auto-Deletion: When your storage hits capacity, the system automatically deletes the oldest un-protected clips to make room for new ones. The "Protected" Clip Exception: If your total storage reaches 100% capacity and all or most remaining clips are marked "Protected," the Alarm.com system will eventually override protected clips during emergency or high-priority trigger events (like alarm triggers) to prioritize recording new footage.Monthly Upload Cap Pauses Accounts carry a monthly upload limit (e.g., 3,000 clips/month). If a camera is misconfigured (e.g., recording swaying trees or high traffic), you can hit your monthly limit in days. Once hit, recording rules pause until the 1st of the next month, making it look like clips are vanishing when new ones simply aren't uploading.
