Letter from Telus
A senior neighbor received a letter from Telus -it is not the correct Telus letterhead. It looks like a photocopy so no colour.
it tells her her account has been closed (never had a Telus account) and that she still owes $xxx.xx and to avoid letter being sent to a collection agency to pay immediately.
The phone number listed is 1-800-777-1888. Searching shows A) a scam with various names as you search further and B) Legitimate number though not Telus confirming this.
I have advised her to ignore this letter.

You did the right thing. Thanks for looking out for your neighbour. I'd have done the same.
