No Telus Bills for Three Months

Today I received my very first billing notice from Telus. It told me I was three months past due.

Notice that I said it's the first communication I've received?

My understanding with every utility company I've ever dealt with is that they send me a bill, then I pay it. With all that life throws at each and every one of us every day, how are we to know when bills are due if the provider doesn't tell us?

And if they decide to say I'm a bad credit risk because I didn't pay my bill for three months, what do I do then? I can't point at a paper trail because there isn't one. All I have is this message.

So, please, Telus, if you're reading this: SEND ME MONTHLY BILLS, for crying out loud.

  • I used to work at Telus. Are you on paper bill or bill? You should be able to change to a paper bill through your mytelus account.  I would double check what is the email account on file and check for typos. If on ebill and email is correct then issue is email issue on your end.  Check spam, deleted, check notification settings

It's odd that you received one bill notice but not the prior ones. Are your bill notifications setup? You can check the settings via your online account. Also check your Spam/Junkmail folder in case they were being redirected there.

I love how tech support always assumes the customer is an idiot. Do a quick search with Google or any other search engine and you'll find that I'm only one of dozens, if not hundreds who are experiencing this problem. Please, before assuming, do some homework.

But thanks for the reply. :)

Strange, I'll send a PM so that I can securely verify the account info and take a closer look.

Well, I just went down the rabbit hole and there's no way to communicate directly with Telus. There are links to solve every problem under the sun except this one. But, thanks, FL.

Thanks for the reply, FuzzyLogic. I've just now noticed the "Contact The TELUS Management Team" link over on the right. I'm assuming that's how I can start down that road toward "work[ing] with Telus." If there's another avenue I should use instead, please let me know.

Telus should be sending you monthly email notifications regarding your bill to the email address associated with your account. If that's not happening you will need to work with Telus to determine what the issue is.
