My internet keeps going out, but only on some devices.
Ok, so me again. If you can read my previous post. My internet has now went out completely again, but only on some devices. Seems to be devices that are plugged in. Like tv, computer, Xbox. Wifi is working perfectly fine on our phones (have turned off data to confirm). Like what is this? Is someone stealing electricity from us, bit coin farming or something. Can someone please advise us what to do? This has never happened to us, yet happened twice in a month. Coincidentally, our electric bill is much higher recently!? When we just had new neighbours move in, and are in a townhouse. My son has me all worried someone is stealing internet from us or something idk lol.
Any advice is welcome :)

Hi Mandy,
From what you’re describing, it sounds more like a network configuration or device issue rather than someone stealing internet or electricity. Since your Wi‑Fi works on phones but wired devices drop, it could be the router, Ethernet cables, or the devices themselves.
A good approach is to test each wired device one at a time, restart the modem, and check for firmware updates. You can also use network troubleshooting tools to scan your network and see if any device is causing unusual traffic or connectivity problems.
If none of that helps, TELUS support can run diagnostics remotely and guide you through any necessary fixes.

Hi Mandy, sorry to hear the issue's come up again and certainly unusual that it's only impacting some devices. Let us know if the steps Madeline mentioned help resolve the issue for you.
