How accurate is data usage in the app??

I signed my grandparents up for the internet for good wifi. It’s supposed to be 300gb a month. We just had the installation one week ago but for some reason my app is showing that I’ve exceed my monthly data limit. It shows 1.25 gb/ -1gb. I’m so confused cause my grandparents don’t use internet at all except for the newly installed Telus home security and smart tv (only watch tv, no streaming).

    Not sure I understand correctly. So you have the 300gb monthly allotment but the app shows "1.25gb"? This means you're well under your allotment.

      Ya but it’s showing it with a message that says I’ve exceeded my limit. It shows the data usage in a fraction format so it should be /300gb but it’s saying -1. And 0 gb left for the month.

        Hmm that's definitely strange. Perhaps give our team a quick call at 1-888-811-2323 so they can look into that with you.
