Transfer Your Number From Another Provider To TELUS When making the switch to TELUS, transferring your phone number over from your old provider is easy. Check out this handy video to walk you through the process. Steps 1. You'll need your new TELUS SIM card, the SIM card from your old provider, the previous provider's account number or the IMEI number, and the device you'll be using with TELUS. Note: make sure your current phone number remains active to complete the transfer. 2. Log in at www.telus.com/transfernumber 3. Select either the previous provider's account number, or the IMEI number depending on what you have on hand. Note: to get your device's IMEI number, you can simply dial: *#06# 4. Click 'Get Started' and fill out the required information. 5. Review and confirm your transfer details by clicking 'Submit'. 6. You'll receive an SMS from your old service provider to your old SIM card. 7. Reply 'YES' to the message within 90 minutes. 8. Insert your new SIM card into the device you'll use with TELUS, and you'll receive a welcome message from TELUS once the transfer is complete. Note: this may take up to 2.5 hours to complete. Taking Phone Number with me from Business Mobility to Personal Mobility
I recently bought a new phone and plan under a new Personal Mobility Account. My existing phone is with Business Mobility on a Business Mobility Account. I would like to take my existing phone number to my new phone (the business account is scheduled to terminate in a couple days). This does not seem to be a number porting situation and trying to transfer the number results in an error saying that the umber is a Telus phone number, which is true. So how can I proceed and take my existing Business Mobility phone number with me to the consumer side??? I was told about "Towning it Over", but I can't find any reference to that. Where do I find the QR code that is supposed to activate my eSIM? I’m trying to move my mobility service to Telus while keeping my phone number, but Telus is not making it easy. I can see the IMEI2 on my iPhone, but I have no idea what to do next and I am terrified of losing my number. The reason I didn’t use the SMS option in time is because I was trying to confirm what to do and what not to do.
