53 TopicsIssue with NH20A bridge mode
Hey there, I’m a newbie when it comes to networking. I have an issue trying to bridge the NH20A to my ubiquiti cloud gateway fibre. I have 1.5G fibre. I’ve tried everything I can think of and from research I’ve done and still can’t get it to connect. I’ve tried all ports bridged, port 1, 10g port. Factory resetting the NH20A and for whatever reason it will not provide internet to the ucg fibre. I’ve tried configuring the ucg to pppoe with all the accurate credentials and vlan 40 tags. I can get it to connect in a double NAH set up but the internet speed is abysmal. Only 0.1mbs. I’ve tried changing the ip addresses. Any further guidance or any other ideas would be greatly appreciated! thanks!52Views0likes1CommentPoor Routings to game servers
I’ve been a long time customer at Telus for about 6 to 7 years and possibly experienced 3 or 4 outages since but every time I play Valorant or apex legends the routings to those games are horrendous sometimes I won’t even send the required packets for the server to give me enough updates and it’s not even just Valorant I used a software on my computer called pingplotter which measures packet loss and hops in your network routing and to Apex Valorant Marvel rivals CoD and so many other games but CSGO my graph was green and i was lagging if you want test the same thing download ping plotter set your trace interval to 1 and Focus time to 5 and ping 192.207.0.1 and let me know how your graph looks56Views0likes2Commentsipv6 with DoT through controld
I have a Asus ROG GT-AXE 16000 router running merlin firmware , I set the telus gateway to bridge mode to my router and then set up DNS over TLS with controld . Everything works fine and the status page says ipv4 and ipv6 are both working. After about 2 hours or so the ipv6 says N/A . As soon as I change any setting like native to passthough and then back to native it works again. Even if I just change stateful and stateless or anything it will start working again for about 2 hours. I then enabled DDNS with asus and it work but still 2 hours later says N/A again on the status page. Can anyone help?!?!74Views0likes5CommentsClarification on returning equipment
Hi Telus Support, I recently canceled my telus internet service, and was told that I need to return my equipment, despite I expressed that I did not rent any at the start of my service. Ever since I started using telus I was living in condos with pre-installed equipment. Picture: this set of equipment has stayed like this from the first day to last day. Later, I received this email from telus which is supposed to list my equipment, I cannot really tell if this means telus realized that I do not have any equipment or is this some display error. Can I please get some clarification on this? I do not have anything to send back to telus and do not want to be charged for it.Solved172Views0likes2Comments2months, 9 service techs and no fibre installed, need help! (Vancouver)
I live in a duplex and when they initially installed fibre on my attached neighbours side they didn't splice it at the junction box, it was directly pulled into the house. As indicated by empty Telus junction box. My theory is that it's making their system say that I already have existing line that could be tapped into. After the first tech inspection, a service request was sent out for an aerial drop team and wire pull on my side as I didn't get permission to splice their line. After the second time they sent the ground service tech again, after the 3rd -8th time I called in every time to customer service and technical team to make sure they could send a aerial drop team and not a regular person. But they just keep rescheduling the wrong person for the job or it keeps getting delayed. I had to have taken so much time off work this is getting ridiculous. I'm giving this one more shot as I called again yesterday after they sent the wrong guy. The customer service rep said they needed to recreate the order, so they can order (I have done that once already) the drop team, and what he explained is that every time I called in the customer service reps were just rescheduling it for the ground workers. They also told me that they would call me back when there's a drop team available 7-14 days wait again. Now I'm just waiting for a call back with no appointments. I don't want to escalate this to the ccts as I want to give Telus an opportunity to make things right. I signed up for Telus on November 15th and it's now January 11th.49Views0likes1CommentUnable to see WiFi Boost 6 in Telus Connect app
I tried reinstalling the app, rebooting both the modem & router, and connecting the two directly two each other, but no luck. I contacted Telus support and spoke with a CSR, but never heard back. Anyone else encounter this issue? Any fixes?300Views0likes9CommentsTerrible Telus experience
I recently got on the phone with Telus in order to renew my internet as I was at the end of the 24 month agreement. I asked them to cancel my tv plan and only move forward with the internet. After a painful 30 minutes on the phone we ended up deciding to go with the upgrade from 1.5gb to 3gb internet as well as the stream plus plan as it came closest to the package I wanted without having to sign up for optic tv. The salesman made the appointment for the technician to arrive January 6th. Issue 1 - Days before the appointment I received in the mail an optik tv box which was surprising because I canceled my optik tv and had no use for this hardware. Issue 2 - The technician then came to the house as scheduled on January 6th to perform the upgrade. After about 20 minutes in the basement he told me everything was good to go. About an hour after he left the internet stopped working at all and has not worked since. I made a call to tech support and was told they would open a support ticket to get it resolved but have heard nothing in the two days since that call. I’ve tried repeatedly to get a hold of someone but have not been able to get through the awful AI support system they have when you make a phone call to the support line. Overall it’s been extremely frustrating and at this point I feel like I’d be better off to cancel all my Telus services and just switch to Roger’s after the lack of support received and overall disorganization.114Views0likes2CommentsEarly termination fees for services that are not available at new address
I am 10 months into my 2-year contract for Telus PureFiber 250 and Optik TV. I moved to a new apartment where Telus PureFiber is not available, otherwise I was planning to move my account to the new location. But Telus is now charging me almost $400 for the remaining 14months on my contract. I tried calling customer support and they could not do anything. I work from home and need fiber internet. I honestly cannot afford to pay this amount at the moment and I don't understand why Telus is charging me when their services are not available at the location. How is this my fault? What can I do?71Views0likes1CommentCGNAT Removal and Public IP Address Assignment, Is This Still Possible?
Hello and Happy New Year. I recently moved and am now managing my own TELUS Fibre connection directly. I am trying to resume hosting small game servers and other self-hosted services that require inbound IPv4 access. I have the Technicolor NH20T Network Hub installed and have configured IPv4 port forwarding and firewall rules correctly. However my WAN IPv4 address is 100.84.x.x which appears to indicate CGNAT. As expected inbound IPv4 connections cannot reach my network. I have contacted TELUS multiple times. One representative confirmed this would require backend provisioning changes and issued a reference number. I later received automated issue resolved messages but no change was applied. A follow-up representative suggested upgrading to a business plan. I clarified that I do not need a static IP or special IPv6 features only a public non-CGNAT IPv4 address. That ticket has now been escalated again to backend provisioning. My questions are as follows. In 2026 can residential TELUS Fibre customers still be assigned a public IPv4 address to allow inbound IPv4 services and port forwarding, or is a business plan now required? If CGNAT removal is not available on residential accounts is there any supported residential option remaining? I understand that bridge mode or third-party routers do not bypass CGNAT as this is a WAN provisioning issue. Older threads exist on this topic but many are several months old so I am looking for updated information. Thank you in advance.Solved140Views0likes2CommentsTELUS Boost Wi-Fi 7 Buggy?
I recently upgraded to PureFibre 3G and needed a couple of TELUS Boost Wi-Fi 7 in my setup. The goal of the secondary Boost 7 is to replace my old Netgear router, which created a secondary Wifi network to manage the signal conflicts I previously had. I was hoping to just renamed the SSID to my old and all should be working as previously (in theory). The main Boost 7 worked as expected, but setting up the additional one was not intuitive as the "magic" of auto-configuration for meshing does not work and there is no visible WiFi signal. I ended up searching the Boost IP address by logging into the NAH and once in, I was NOT able to see the general settings around "SSID" (or anything else that I could possibly configure for that matter). I tried the alternative method of using the TELUS Connect or Smarthome+, but neither of them had a option or visibility into the Boost 7. It's all very confusing as what I search in Google or in this Neighborhood seems to be inconsistent. Has anyone else solved this or are you all in the same boat? At this point, I may have to purchase a new router instead and go back to my original setup...420Views0likes3Comments
