My digital box got an update a couple months ago that allows Dolby vision . Not sure the software or version number. But the box is definitely on android 12. It was on Android 10 and there was no Dolby vision on that version. The update also added match frame rate and match dynamic range so hdr wasn’t always on. I believe the instructions you posted to hide Home Screen is for the older Telus 4k boxes and interface. If you have the new smaller android based Telus box then there is no way to hide the Home Screen completely. All you can do is push the back button on the remote . I would agree . The Telus tv app on Apple TV is terrible. It needs an overhaul. On top of the issues mentioned above , there is no previous channel option. The guide scrolling doesn’t behave correctly half the time. However I do feel the app has better picture quality vs the android tv app and Telus own android box. Nope! Unfortunately these android boxes do not have an option to match dynamic range. So all content has forced HDR. A massive mistake by Telus to release these boxes without that option. This is why colors look off. Apparently they are testing android 12 which will fix the issue. Haven’t heard any update on this for a while. The $25 rental fee is most likely a premium movie rental. Movies thet were just in theatres seem to be release earlier to on demand rentals now but there is a premium price to watch it. Thanks for the reply. Yes the Siri Remote doesn’t have a previous button. In the android tv app on Sony tv or the Telus digital tv box while watching a Channel when you press the directional pad up or down you will see the progress bar and option for previous channel, record, restart tv. Just started using the Telus tv app on appletv . Is there no previous channel option ? I know it’s on the Telus android box and the android tv app. Seems ridiculous to have to scroll through every channel ( even unsubscribed) in the live guide to go back to a previous Channel.11KViews0likes3Comments
