latest firmware update for SmartHome issues

I noticed that I can no longer disarm my system by touching the panel screen. I can arm using the screen. I was able to do this until December 2024. I looked at the firmware date and it showed 1969-12-31 06:0347. I no this cannot be a correct date and further investigation shows the 1969 year as an indication the update did not successfully complete. I did try the recommended options of using the reboot button via the panel, unplugging the power supply, and removing the battery. All these did not resolve the issue. Does Telus plan to resolve this soon as it is a potential problem. I use the app on my phone to disarm but if I do not have my phone or it gets damaged/stolen then I will set off an alarm.

The "last upgraded date" showing as 1969-12-31 is a known issue and appears to be a default placeholder date rather than an indication of the panel's actual update status. Rest assured, your system should still be functioning correctly and up to date.

We just had our new panel installed last week to replace our previous ADT model. Ours also shows last upgraded date of 1969-12-31. Technician was here today to fix a power issue and I showed him. He said the unit was up to date and had no idea why the 1969 date is there.

Thanks for acknowledging the "last upgraded date" showing as 1969-12-31 is a known issue. But it was because of an issue with not being able to disarm my system using the panel that I discovered this issue. That issue still exists and I cannot disarm my system from the panel as I was able to do until sometime in December 2024. The only way I can disarm the system is through the app on my phone. Yes I can arm the system from the panel but I used to disarm the system by simply touching the panel, select disarm and then provide my security code. I think this is still an issue that should be resolved because what happens if I lose my phone or leave without taking it with me. I then cannot disarm the system by using the panel. I am not sure if this has been reported by others

Not an issue we are aware of. Can you send us a private message with your account info?
