Telus SmartHome Security Login
I try to login through the web via MyTelus and then want to manage SmartHome Security, it asks me to log into it using SmartHome Security credentials. I try using MyTelus login and it does not work. So I try the forgot password function and enter email that is associated with MyTelus account and the email never comes including spam folder. “Send me a login link” works in that I do see the email come through but it ends up for logging into MyTelus account. I do see my security account under MyTelus front page along with my other Telus services so it does appear to be already linked. I am wondering is Telus SmartHome login supposed to be the same as MyTelus log in or is it completely seperate?I try to log in to MyTelus and manage SmartHome Security, but it asks me to log in using SmartHome Security credentials. Here is what I found.
Log into MyTelus, then navigate to Telus SmartHome, which opens a separate login screen. You may need to hold CTRL when you click SmartHome so it opens in a separate tabthe system will not allow you to be logged into MyTelus and Telus SmartHome at the same time.
before performing a login on the Telus SmartHome screen. Return to the My Telus screen and log out.
then go to Telus SmartHome and log inlet me know if it works.

Here is what I found.

I've tried contacting them and they don't seem interested in helping me with this issue either. It's really frustrating. They did send me a link to set up a new login to the SmartHome Security web access (since it's different than MyTelus login credentials) and that link didn't work, and when I follow up there is no reply. Their whole system is focused on getting people signed up and renewing contracts but their customer service is embarrassing.
Why has TELUS turned into such a colossally **** company?

Do you have the SmartHome Security app downloaded and installed? You should've received a welcome email when signing up with instructions on how to create your profile in there.
Yes unless you are referring to the newer Smarthome + which login doesnt work anyways. As for the original Smarthome app it works but im afraid to logout and loose access just to test. However I try the same app on a new phone and the MyTelus log in does not work nor the login credentials i wrote down for Smarthome. The fact that the login i wrote for Smarthome didnt work made me second guess if I wrote it down wrong. Then this sent me down the path of trying to use forgot my password and what happened afterwards is pretty much what i described in the original post, I couldnt even change the password for Smarthome.
