I recently saw a thread titled "Your SmartHome Security services have not yet been linked" which is exactly the situation I am in.
I have an appointment tomorrow, I received a message to have the SmartHome app downloaded and logged in. When I log in I get the "Your SmartHome Security services have not yet been linked" message. What odd is my current alarm system was acquired by Telus and I am merely upgrading so I thought it would be fine. When I originally called to set up the upgrade appointment, I received the contract the person on the phone said I would have access to the #\SmartHome app immediately.
I called the support line, waiting over 1 hour, to be told this has to be done by the tech during the visit. I am hoping this is factual otherwise I will have to repeat the process of calling in during the installation.
I am getting conflicting information on this. Do I need this set up before the appointment or during the appointment.
