Picture lagging when casting from iphone

Briguy
Neighbour

When trying to watch a 4K Sports Network hockey game on older digital box, I got the message it could not be shown in 4k. So I tried to cast the game to my Sony Bravia TV from my iPhone 14. All good but the picture lags. And it also lags on straight news channels. What can I do to fix this?

Casting will be an issue between your phone and the TV. If both have a good network connection it should work but many TVs, including some expensive ones, have an underpowered CPU in them so casting can be flaky for some models. If it lags when casting non 4K content, I'd suspect the TV as the issue. Try casting from another device if possible just to test it. If you have a laptop, you could connect it directly to the TV with HDMI and stream that way. It's less ideal but may work better since it's a hardwired connection.
