Optik New Channels

worldtel

In the past year, we have seen the Optik Channel count go down, while our fees have increased.

It has been some time since TELUS announced any major changes to it programming. New channels use to arrive on a regular basis but are now a rarity.  Several requests by many loyal Optik customers have been put forth in this forum requesting HD channels that are available to TELUS' competitors or south in the U.S.

Can you enlighten your viewers with any exciting new changes to Optik?

Thank you,

J

The CRTC determines which channels are available to broadcast in Canada. Any suggestions from the list you think would have broad interest from Telus subscribers?

New channel suggestions have been mentioned by other subscribers before:

A cursory review of the CRTC listings and previous requests would indicate the following are of some interest. They may not target a broad interest group, but then most of the channels on Optik are fairly theme-orientated to begin with.

American Heroes Channel HD
Fox Business Network HD
Eurosportnews
MLB Network HD
NASA TV

Networks do offer free previews as well, there is a chance you could be losing free previews. Generally speaking the kind of content you get will remain in line with what you do pay pending on your packaging.
