unused minutes to purchase phone

Hi.  If I have close to $300 of unused time on my prepaid phone, can I use some of that time to purchase a newer prepaid phone?  For example, if the Nokia Lumia 520 is $149, can I order that and just have it come out of the $300 in my account?

Did not know that I could use the credit for a new device purchase.  Had I known, I would have used it on the new Blackberry Q10.

Hey Judgement_Day, I am a client care representative of the prepaid department, at the moment there is no way to purchase a phone with balance on the account. (that is not longer money those are minutes only).

Thanks.... Must it be a prepaid phone?  Can I use it the purchase a Telus phone to be used on my prepaid.  Salivating for the Z15!

Have you check if you have Myrewards Dollars on your account? that can help you to get a discount towards a phone. That program will be active until the end of September! you should check it! 😉

You can use your account balance towards the purchase of a new device.

In order to proceed with using your balance towards a new device you will need to call directly into 1-866-558-2273. Thank you.

I noticed that a change in policy is coming in October.

Hi everyone, using your account balance to purcahse a new phone launched today! The offer is available to Prepaid subscribers with a balance of $200 or more, and whose prepaid phone has been active for 6 months or more. Please be advised that you will need to purchase the phone by calling in, stores will not be able fulfill the offer at this time.
