I am considering getting a THL W100 phone that supports 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz and 3G: WCDMA 850/2100MHz
Will this work on the Telus network, I'm in newfoundland if that makes any difference (I know there is 3G and 4G in my town)

This is the first time that I see a device that is both WCDMA and GSM. TELUS only uses WCDMA, which is an old technology. There are so many good devices out there why go with an outdated device ?

Hi norelec, the only frequency that phone operates on that is compatible with the TELUS network is WCDMA 850MHz. It will only allow you to connect to either voice or data, so it's not ideal for the TELUS network.
I hope that helps.

Theoretically, yes - since the phone has 850MHz.
Practically, I would approach with caution, as that phone does not have 1900. What if your town's network has stonger 1900? Then the reception of the phone will suffer.
