iPhone 4s was lost/stolen; got set up on new phone: and 3 mths later someone called saying they found my phone. Gave phone to girlfriend as she has an iPhone 4; both on Telus network; only difference is I am on a contract and she is prepaid: after activating the phone with my Apple ID ( I remotely wiped it when it was stolen) it unlocked and activated and we reactivated it with her iCloud account; put in her Telus sim chip and all we get is no service. Totally unsure how to proceed!

Was the phone reported as lost or stolen to Telus? If so, it may be blacklisted, and you would have to call Telus and have it removed from the list.
