I was wondering why all the plans have much higher costs now. Two years ago, I had a plan for 200 minutes, unlimited text and 6 gb of data for $85. I just called to change my plan recently to unlimited calling messaging and 3 gb of data for the same price. Why have plans changed so drastically. I don't use that much calling, so the unlimited offered now is not much use to me. I get charged a sky high rate for something that is more of a convenience then a necessity. I think Telus needs to bring back at least one plan that won't cost me an arm and a leg for my phone. I wish 3 year contracts were back. I really don't like this change and I am falling behind on my bill because of it.

It makes sense for customers with multiple people on one bill, but for a single person having to fork out extra, it really isn't helping me at all financially.

Three year contracts aren't coming back. Your Federal Government has mandated that so customers have better service and more choices, that contract lengths may be no longer than 2 years. I would suggest calling Telus and speaking to the retentions dept, may enable you to find a package that better meets your needs. Also take a look at what the second tier suppliers such as Koodoo offer.
