Can I have a SIM and eSIM with the same number? one SIM for smartphone and one eSIM for smartwatch(LTE), both devices can share a same phone number. Thanks guys

No, each has to be unique. Two devices with the same number prevents one calling the other, which is needed for you to use the watch independently of the phone. Essentially, the phone call forwards to the watch.

The reply from @NFtoBC is correct.  But Telus will set it up so it works like it is the same number.  Call from your watch, it will give your mobile phone number.  On your bill, it will show a separate phone number for your watch, but don't give it out.  Use your phone number from your iphone.
