fruad or not

Hello

I got a phone call from +1 866-558-2273 saying that I could get an iPhone 16 pro max. I also got an estimated quotient from the email [email protected]. Is this legit or a fraud? If it's a fraud, then how are they using the Telus customer service number? I also have another number so that I can contact her: 647-495-8607. So, what should I do now?

Thank You

That's called spoofing. People can easily fake caller ID information, and the number that you posted has something included in it that is NOT something a call from North America will have.

Plus if a caller tells you to call back to any number that isn't an official Telus number, there is an extreme chance that it's a scam.

100% scam. The scammer didn't even fake Telus's toll free number correctly. That is not a Telus email. The 647-495 NXX is a set of numbers owned / controlled by Iristel, a well known VoIP provider for scammers targeting Canadians.

Do NOT give them any information.
