Hi Joosie,
Voicemail is stored on a hard drive and in order to keep the system efficient it is set to delete every 30 days. If you want to avoid this you can go back and save the messages on day 29 and that will save it for 30 days after the day you press save.

I believe each message is held for 30 days, to allow you to retrieve them. Voicemail is not meant to be an archive. You can choose a third party voicemail which offers more options than the one Telus includes.
