Call in, pay the fee, and in a few minutes, you'll be done. I suggest you do a backup in iTunes beforehand, so you can restore if necessary. It is also handy to have available a SIM from another carrier to complete the process.

Unlocking a cell phone through your TELUS provider. 

You have to call into telus channel care. 1-866-558-2273 and then you give them the IMEi in settings of the phone, in order to get there - Settings- General - About - scroll down three quarters of the screen and imei word is on the left and the 15 digits is what the telus rep will require when needing to unlock the device, the amount of the unlocking fee will be applied to the bill.
