Once the updates have been thoroughly tested by Telus they will be pushed to your phone via a carrier update. If a bug was discovered it would be pulled from a scheduled update to save the end user (customer) grief of a bug. Most carriers do in house testing before they release an update, it could take a few weeks to months. All depends if any issues are discovered while carrier testing.
