Can't get the optimal Internet Speed offers for Telus Purefibre 1.5g plan.

Need help with our current home setup. For some reason we can't get the optimal speed of 1.5G DL and UL which is our current purefibre plans, we're stuck having 940 dl and 946ish ul. hardwire from network hub to gaming router (asus ax11000) to pc.

They have removed the white nokia ont (i think has limit of 1g) so they directed everything to network hub. By everything means the fiber cable from outside connected to network hub and to (with optik tv, telephone etc)

We just requested for an upgrade of our home setup from having 150mbps to 1.5g speed. and before we used to have nokia ont + t3200m actiontek.

Now, it was changed today from Telus Network Hub(the big white rectangular box) which serves as a ONT now? cause i saw the fiber cable was connected to it and they provided another cylindrical white thing serves as wifi.

We have utp cable cat6 output from 10g Lan port of network hub to another gaming router(asus ax-11000) also have 10g wan.

I have a direct cable to my pc with from router 2.5g slot to my pc.

The technician that came wasn't really helpful like all he did was installed the new devices and didnt even bother to check the speed. saying "1g or 1.5g is all the same, idk why you change devices" having 700mpbs speed is good enough. But why will I pay 1.5g plan for this kind of services where you cant get the speed Telus offers?

The cable that is plugged into the 10Gb port on your Telus Network Hub(the big white rectangular box) doesn't seem to be new. It's hard to tell.

Connect the network cable that Telus provided for the install to the 10Gb port on the Network Hub and the other end to your computer's 2.5Gb port. Try your speed test now.

I had Telus 3G PureFibre service installed last year. I had a similar problem as that you are experiencing. The installer connected the 10Gb port on the Network Hub to the Trash Can WiFi Device.

I connected it directly to my computer's 2.5Gb port and got the results in this LINK.

I found that a video from Linus Tech Tips was very helpful explaining issues with higher speeds. Here is the link.

I had files getting corrupted when downloading to an external USB hard drive, even when downloading to the internal mechanical drive in my computer. I have to download to my internal NVME drive in order to avoid corruption.

The video is definitely worth watching.

Maybe your PC network adapter is only 1g?
