Set top box and Samsung TV

Hi TJP_04 have you tried pairing the TELUS remote to control the TV so that both devices are in sync when they power on/off? Here is a link for the instructions: https://www.telus.com/en/support/article/telus-tv-digital-box-remote

 

I also have a Samsung TV, I find that when I do turn on the TV, sometimes I have to press the "home" button on the TELUS remote (the house icon) after turning on the TV to bring up the Set Top Box home screen.

    That’s exactly what happens. However that’s not the only issue. There are more, such as captioning coming on and off by itself randomly. My picture ratio I cannot change also. It’s just a list of items. Telus tech helped me and it all went well until about an hour later. I think I need a new set top box.
