TelusTV-21T Incompatibility with Samsung Frame TV?

Having serious problem trying to get TelusTV-21T to work with my home theatre system. Shaw worked fine as an input to my Marantz 7013 receiver and Samsung Frame TV (as does my DVD player, Sonos, and Apple TV), but the TelusTV will not work. It used to work diirect into the TV which was a pain but now it does not work at all. Solutions anyone? The Samsung Frame registers some sort of connection but will not produce video or sound. Both TelusTV boxes work fine hooked up direct to my basement Sony TV but won't work on the Marantz/Samsung Frame set up. Some sort of software issue?

  • It now does work with a new 8K cable direct into the Samsung Frame,   i have not tried it through the Marantz 7013 as I have i discovered the Telus TV app for the Apple TV and that works fine so we leave the Marantz on the Apple TV input and do not bother trying to change inputs.   The item on Amazon ($16)  was:

Silkland 8K HDMI eARC/ARC Cable 2.1, Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 3.3ft [8K@60Hz, 4K@240Hz/144Hz/120Hz] Dolby Atmos Vision, 48Gbps, HDR, HDCP Compatible for Samsung/Vizio/SoundBar/Roku TV

The frame is very sensitive. Use an 8k cable and all issues will be gone. Doesn't have to be expensive, just has to be 8k

  • There have been reports of faulty HDMI cables supplied and also using different input.

Have you tried different HDMI cables and also tried each of the inputs on TV.

Then have you confirmed any other TV with that 21-T tuner is working.

Both TV boxes work on my Sony 1080p TV.   I have tried all different inputs, but am getting some new 8k HMDI cables to work that one through.
