Scam email?
I have received several emails claiming to be from Telus that say:
"Your Device service is about to be interrupted due to a failed payment.
Please update your payment information today. To run the transaction again, update your active credit card for subscriptions in My TELUS by clicking on ‘Update your credit cards’."
I'm suspicious because I don't pay for any Telus services by credit card. I have auto debit set up with my bank. I checked my Telus account and there's no outstanding balance. I called Telus and was told that the last email they sent was 2 weeks ago. The most recent scam email is from today.
The email is VERY convincing, with Telus logo, and the following at the bottom of the email:
TELUS, the TELUS logo, let's make the future friendly and telus.com are trademarks of TELUS Corporation, used under license. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
