Wanting to take over Telus service and equipment for a house I just bought
Hi,
I just moved into a house in Steinbach Manitoba that the previous owner had built which means the Telus line is already buried. The previous house owner tried to transfer her account (services and equipment) to me but didn't have my contact information at the time so she had to cancel the service. Now when I contact Telus, they are saying I cannot take over the service as the previous owner cancelled the service and I have to get new equipment - which I have to install myself as there are no installers in Steinbach.
I just want to have take over the service that Telus was providing without getting new equipment.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

If the previous owner cancelled services then you wouldn't be able to do what's called a "Transfer of Ownership" to migrate services over. You could try reaching out to the previous owner and see if they can reactivate services so that you can complete a new transfer of ownership request.
