Service not available at new location and penalty charges
Why am I being charged a penalty for breaking my contract early (home internet/TV), when TELUS cannot provide ‘like service’ at my new address?

So, customers are penalized for the gap in TELUS’ footprint? It’s kind of like being held hostage to an address decision rather that a life decision. I am curious to see the CRTC’s response to my scenario.

If you move to an area where TELUS doesn’t provide service, your service agreement would need to be ended. In that case, any remaining balance on the account would become due, and early cancellation fees may apply based on the terms of your agreement. Check out the Move FAQ at https://www.telus.com/en/move-your-home-services#faq for more details.
