Account Collections Issue

I just had the same thing happen to my..was applying for a loan and got told by the lender that I had been sent to collections for money owed to telus wireline for unpaid bills from 2023..the only thing I can think of was a small credit on my account from a closed account..but I have since started up that account again, with no mention of this. I need to have this cleared up as its a hit on my credit.

If this is still occurring to such a number of your customers (as it clearly is, see ElectricSheep's comment below), do you not see that this could potentially be a pattern? This seems systemic to me and reeks of bad faith practices.
Just received a collection notice from debtcontrolagency.com, saying I owe a debt to TELUS WIRELINE, I have no knowledge of any outstanding debt, Please Help.
