Person who told you was correct incorrect. I am a retired telus customer service rep. The agent needs to be coached on how to cancel a pending order. If there's a issue with the cancel of a order ie error message then there's a procedure on how to fix the error needs to be done. There's zero for tech support to do as there's no active service. Sorry you got a bad rep.
