2 months agoCan't record 1 specific sports team - only all MLB, all NHL or all NFL games on a channel, including repeats.
- This is a feature that our Optik team intends to offer in the very near future.
Can't record a specific sports team on all channels - you can only setup a recording on 1 channel at a time, so you have to setup a recording for each channel that might have the game - for NFL this could be 10 different channels.
- Same as above. It's coming as soon as possible.
Missing options for recording series - you can't tell it to only record new episodes. By default it records duplicates and reruns.
- This is already available. When you edit a series in your Scheduled recordings section, you just need to select 'First Run Only'.
Missing the ability to pad a recording\series recording by a set time to avoid missing to go into overtime like sports, etc.
- All recordings are automatically pre- and post- padded by two minutes. All live sports events are post-padded automatically by an hour (tennis for 90 minutes). Certain other popular special events are auto-extended by the system.
Can't stop playback on a recording. You can only move away from that recording by going to a channel on the guide, for example.
- You can stop playback by clicking the 'OK' button on your remote. This will pause playback, and your location will be automatically saved so you can resume from the same spot later.
Time slot meta-data is often missing or incorrect, causing your recording to not work, or for it to record something other than what you wanted.
- This is a broadcaster update issue which can occur, albeit rarely, in live television.

Appears there was an update today...App version 1.25.9.500 that has discombobulated the Favorites. When set to My Favorite channels it just shows 7 channels mainly 500 series, none of which are on My Favorites list, and yet all My Favorites are still 🤍'ed.
Did a Restart...no success. Would prefer not to have to resort to a Factory Reset. Any suggestions?

We've heard back from our Optik team. This is a known issue that has crept up, and it'll be fixed with the next release.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Any ETA on the next update release?
Guessing a factory reset will not resolve the issue neither?

No ETA that we can publicly share at this point.

I noticed these channels. Probably new channels added to all channels and automatically added to favorites as introduction.
Funny, they do not appear on laptop, fav or subscribed, at least 447 which caught my attention as a channel I did not choose as favorite.

To be more specific these"new?"channels have not been added to my favorites...they have taken over my favorites. When I click on Edit fav all my selections still exist. Yet when I click on My Favorite "radio button" these (7) channels, which I've never fav'd, are the only ones showing on the guide.
I now have to select All Subscribed and wheel thru that quagmire to get where I wanna go.
Side note, unfortunately, appears Telus in its infinite wisdom have taken away ability to add attachments (pics) on this "updated" forum as well.
Par for the (Telus Android TV-) course.

That is odd that we have 180* issue with these new channels. So far My FAVS are intact with the added new channels but yours only shows the new. How can this be?
A burst of updates, problem found, modify update, send another burst of updates to those that did not get the first?
Simple solution would be what has been done is to resend a previous update as a new update to revert all to what was, while working on fixing the 10101010
