Telus TV app on Apple TV
I have been running Telus tv through its apron my Apple TV box for close to a year after the Telus tv box killed my hdmi input to my Marantz av cable/sat tv system. Everything works no bad but trying to get back to the guide after watching a recored show has me having to exit the tv app then turn off the apple box and unplug the hdmi cable and power to the apple box. Wait a minute then plug everything back up, turn on the apple tv then scroll down to Telus tv scroll over to the guide and we're back to watching tv again. Apple TV is generation 4 with the newest iso. Anyone else running into this problem
- Thanks for getting back. I did delete then reinstall, wasn’t sure if I had done it before. Will see what happens now. If it continues will have to do a factory reset but I think I’ll wait until the new Apple TV comes out later this yr.Sent from my iPad

Can you describe what happens when a recording ends? Does the app crash? And are you running the latest version of the TELUS TV+ app (2.25.0 (988))? And have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?
There is absolutely no technical reason you should have to unplug something like an HDMI cable; a power cycle should resolve anything like a system crash. Before doing that though, I'd recommend force-quitting the app (double click on the button with the TV icon on your Apple TV remote and swipe up on the touchpad/dPad with the TELUS TV+ app in focus).
In any event, I just tested on my Apple TV 4K gen 2 (model A2169) running tvOS 26.1 and here's what I see (working as expected):
After a recording ends and there isn't another one in the series to binge watch, I am returned to the Recordings Manager episode list. From here, if I press the back button once, I go to the Series list, and back a 2nd time, I go to the Recordings tab in the main menu. One press left on the dPad takes me to Guide.
If I am actively watching a recording and press the back button, I end up back to the Recordings Manager series episode list. Navigation back to Guide is identical to the above.
