Renegotiated Contract - Continuous Internet Issues

Bit of a rant over a question......In the 10 years we've had the package that we have with Telus, we have yet to experience more than a couple months without some sort of disruption.  It hasn't been the absolute end of the world,as the issues have allowed me to renegotiate my contract every couple years but I JUST renegotiated again and since doing so, our internet is down multiple times a day.  I work from home, so this is dually frustrating.  Every time a technician comes out, they go through all the regular silliness of resetting all of our boxes, modem etc only to find that the "problem" is coming from a port at the community Telus box.  This is the 3rd year I am hearing of this same thing.  It's already annoying enough to not have access to fibre in such a new area, but absolutely drives me bonkers to lose work and not be able to dictate information as it comes.  I also have to be on video meetings often and constantly lose connection.  This makes my day extra long and exhausting.

I guess my question is.....after 3 years of the same issue being relayed to me by lead techs WHY has  fixed and WHY am I paying for internet that operates at 80%?  Even trying to post this comment the internet kicked out AGAIN.

I also have a beef about my security not working that we pay for but that's for another day......

  • It’s unbelievable the poor service Telus has. They charge a ridiculous amount and expect you to pay your bill on time for a service that doesn’t work. Frustrating.
