A few months ago my PVR stopped recording scheduled programs. The odd thing is I can see the shows in the schedule but when the time comes it just doesn’t record. There’s 95% space so that’s not the ...

23 days agoHi black84 - This is certainly odd behavior. Are you able to record at all? Is it just scheduled recordings that don't get recorded?
We would recommend unplugging your PVR from power. Rebooting your modem and once your modem is back on and working, plug the PVR back to power.
If that doesn't work, please send us a private message

I tried that and it hasn’t fixed the problem. It’ll randomly record scheduled programs but the recording usually doesn’t work or is very choppy. It won’t record anything when I press the record button.

I had the same symptoms. I tried various simple fixes but nothing worked until the PVR was replaced

If recordings are still failing or coming out choppy, there are a few deeper troubleshooting steps we can try:
1. Power cycle your PVR and modem: Unplug your PVR and your internet modem/router for about 30 seconds, then plug the modem back in first. Once it’s fully online, plug the PVR back in. This forces a fresh connection to the network and guide data.
2. Check all cable connections: Make sure every cable going into the PVR and modem is firmly secured, a loose coax/ethernet connection can cause choppy or incomplete recordings.
3. Clear and re-add your series recordings: Delete one of your scheduled shows entirely, then re-add it as a new series recording. This resets the recording rule in case it became corrupted.
4. Try a different channel: If possible, test recording a show on a different channel. If that works properly, it may help us identify whether the issue is channel-specific or system-wide.
